- These are larger size mason jars.
- The most common color is light aqua.
- If it has an underline, it is common.

- The bottom of the A is more pointed than curved.
They are being sold in packs of four. There are a few differences between the new ones and the old originals which can be easily seen. Is it hand blown or factory made? It is the first one in the second row shown above.

By the way, for a bit of clarification, the great majority of hand-blown jars and bottles of American make were also produced in a glass factory by skilled glass workers. Amazing and humbling to find their histories and imagine all the goodies they once held. This transition took several years. Would you like to know how old your vintage mason jar is? Of course, value is a very subjective thing and many collectors may not agree with my opinion on this subject. It is mentioned elsewhere on this site as well.

Hundreds of slight variations in lettering font, glass color, base markings, etc. Some of these words were used for many years, but the style often changed every couple years.
Most are from the new generation jars and are safe to use and will be! The dropped a without an underline is quite uncommon. Others are blank no lettering of any kind. Some of the half gallon jars have a texture in the glass at the top and around the lower couple of inches.
